A couple ways to do this, with your Flip software you can choose create movie, this will save your video as a file Windows Movie Maker can read (.wmv), .avi files are also readable.

If this is not working (not sure why it wouldn’t) then you will need a conversion software, here’s an excellent one I use and it’s free (called, Any Video Converter) – http://www.any-video-converter.com/

Either way should solve your dilemma, have fun & make great movies!

windows movie maker will not accept Flip videos (mainly in mp4 format) directly, u need to encode to windows movie maker compatible avi, wmv, mpg, asf files, for doing this, u need a Flip video decoder or converter, Flip video to Windows Movie Maker converter is designed for this purpose, u may as well

Well, most cameras record in MPEG-4 format (an .MP4 or .MOV file). However, Windows Movie Maker only supports AVI, WMV, MPEG-1, etc files, so it’s difficult for us to import MP4 files into Windows Movie Maker directly.

What you need is a free converter to convert mp4 files to wmv that windows movie maker supports.
I recommend a completely free converter called WinFF, you can find the download link and also the tutorial on how to use it at http://www.photo-to-dvd.com/tutorial/windows-movie-maker-mp4.html Of course, i f you want to be convenient and make more dazzling movies ,you can turn to some powerful commercial movie making software.
    Hope it can help you!
